While trekking in Upper Dolpo, you can make find many monasteries with their great ritual values observe enjoyable view of deep blue waters of Phoksundo Lake and mesmerizing views of snow-capped mountains of Kanjirova Himalayan range and make deep insight into the remote villages. With a flight to Napalgunj from Kathmandu valley, and another scenic flight to Jhupal, lead you to the main trekking trail. The trek started from Juphal leads you passing through Dunai, Ankhe, Sulighat, Phoksundo Lake, Phoksundo Bhanjyang, Shey Gompa via Kang La Pass, Namduna Gaun via Saldang La, Saldang, Yangze Gompa, Sibu, Jeng La Phedi, Tokyu Gaun via Jeng La, Dho Tarap, Tarap Khola, Khani Gaun, Tarakot, Dunai and finally to
Juphal again. You can return back to Kathmandu valley as previous.
The highest point of trekking in Upper Dolpo features visiting Shey-Phoksundo Lake and Shey- Phoksundo National Park, watching Caravans of yaks, mules, horses, and sheep, encountering rare wildlife like Blue Sheep, Musk deer and Yarshagumba and passing through three high passes above 5,000 meters.
